Two books with citations redo

America Disarmed

Wayne La Pierre's is the author of the explosive new book, America Disarmed. He gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are using the U.N. for their "under the radar" program to destroy the Second Amendment. In America Disarmed you will learn about the U.N. plans to impose gun control in America, the corrupt anti-gun organizations that do the U.N.'s bidding, and the inner workings of the anti-gun cabal President Obama has assembled for his administration. Arm yourself with the facts and learn how to fight back, and i will use this book for a source because this book is is the main part of my topic because my topic is the safety of America at sake if the Treaty is passed. This book would be one of the main sources of information that i would use for my research project.

Disarmed: The Missing Movement for Gun Control in America

the book "Disarmed" expalains how More than any other advanced industrial democracy, the United States is besieged by firearms violence. Each year, some 30,000 people die by gunfire. Over the course of its history, the nation has witnessed the murders of beloved public figures; massacres in workplaces and schools; and epidemics of gun violence that terrorize neighborhoods and claim tens of thousands of lives. Commanding majorities of Americans voice support for stricter controls on firearms. Yet they have never mounted a true national movement for gun control. I plan to use this book to show how deaths are caused by guns but it is 50/50 we kill on the battle feild everyday. the law enforcement kill everyday so America cant say guns are bad for everyone.

“The Secret History of Guns”

Will the U.N treaty affect the safety of Americans if it passes?

The United States will be violating the Second Amendment if the U.N.  Passes the treaty. “The Secret History of Guns” shows the back ground of how people in America use guns in order to protect them selves from threats like the klu klux klan, Black Panthers, and intruders. Americans have the right to bear arms to protect themselves because the safety will not be there if someone was to come in your house uninvited with an unregistered weapon and put your family in danger . THE TEXT OF the Second Amendment is maddeningly ambiguous. It merely says, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Yet to each side in the gun debate, those words are absolutely clear. I plan to use this book to show how the history of guns are here to protect us from people trying to harm us.

Gun-rights supporters believe the amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms and outlaws most gun control. Hard-line gun-rights advocates portray even modest gun laws as infringements on that right and oppose widely popular proposals—such as background checks for all gun purchasers—on the ground that any gun-control measure, no matter how seemingly reasonable, puts us on the slippery slope toward total civilian disarmament. This attitude was displayed on the side of the National Rifle Association’s former headquarters: THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. The first clause of the Second Amendment, the part about “a well regulated Militia,” was conveniently omitted. To the gun lobby, the Second Amendment is all rights and no regulation. Although decades of electoral defeats have moderated the gun-control movement’s stated goals, advocates still deny that individual Americans have any constitutional right to own guns. The Second Amendment, in their view, protects only state militias. Too politically weak to force disarmament on the nation, gun-control hard-liners support any new law that has a chance to be enacted, however unlikely that law is to reduce gun violence. For them, the Second Amendment is all regulation and no rights.                                                      Citation

Sources

My project topic is how the U.N. is trying to pass a treaty that can put the lives of many Americans in danger if it is passed. I wouldn't use a scholarly book for my project on the U.N.. By the time there is a [scholarly book] for my topic, it would probably be irrelevant. because it take a long time to publish, and we don't have a long time to study about the topic decisions on the treaty is coming very soon. A magazine could have a article about the treaty in it but it would be summarized and all the information will not be stated. I should be able to find info on the treaty in a few newspaper articles since the topic is current.   the treaty deals with the government and the entire United States a  government document wouldn't be right for this project until the UN treaty has passed, and it could be in writing because the Government don't create documents before its passed. An encyclopedia is also not useful when it comes to UN topic because that takes a while to be created, and once again, my topic is current. The scholarly journal could not be accurate because it would just be the opinions from over educated people. The internet would be the best option for my topic because the web is fast and it is current from more than one accredited source

U.N. Treaty

The topic that I chose to talk about is about the UN and how if the treaty is passed it will affect the safety of america as we know it/ The treaty is based on america turning in all registered weapons in the United States and that action will be bad for everyone because it is more unregistered guns in america than registered. The safety of people will be in jeperody because if somebody was to go inside somebody house to rob a family the person who use to have guns would be defenseless against the person who have the unregistered gun because they did not have to turn their gun in. And how would the government go about taking the unregistered guns from the people who they have know idea who they are. they could raid everybody house, but that would cause alot of commotion in America, and it will be not turn out good. The treaty will only hurt the people who would have to turn their guns in. There are plenty of felons that have guns that will not turn their gun in to government and get locked up for having one. Then the people who try to throw the guns away can become dangerous for kids if they find the hidden guns and play with them.

DId you narrow i

*Blog Prompt: * Did you change your research question since Monday? How? (DId you narrow it? Did you make it broader?) Why did you decide to change it this way? Also, start brainstorming the kinds of resources you might need to answer this research question (books, interviews, statistics, photos, etc) * **Remember to respond to a classmate by Friday *

my group had made a topic up on Monday that we knew was good.everyone agreed on it and that was the topic that we decided to go with;however, when we got to class on wens day we was took by storm. The teacher told us that we had to have a topic that is up under one thing for the whole group but we had to have different points on the topic.when she said that we all start second guessing our topic because we did not think that we could get it done with all the people in the group. we all thought it was to narrow so we decided to get our teacher involved so we could get some help on if we should change the topic or not. when we called the teacher over she said that we was ahead of the curve and we had a really good topic because it was so many different branches in the field United Nation so each one of us could take a branch. we did not know we could do it like that so we decided to keep the topic and go from there.

The reason for my topic question

My research question that I decided to go with is How does the treaty affect rights of Americans, and will the treaty change the way of life. I believe it is a good research topic because if will greatly affect Americans if the treaty is passed. Guns is a big part of most Americans lives we hunt shoot for fun and we also use firearms to protect our homes if we did not have fire arms it would damage the mines of America because it give some people a since of security. The knowledge that I gained from this topic is about how The United Nations is polishing up a global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) this month in a New York convention that would create a global registry of private ownership of firearms. This treaty which would also mandate creation of a national collection agency for those guns and is contrary to the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment has the long-standing and enthusiastic backing of the Obama State Department, headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The aspect that I will be approaching on this topic will be the one of the people that will suffer from the treaty and the lack of security if the treaty will pass and all the weapons will be confiscated by the government

The topic that my group chose was. Does the U.N have the ability to change rights in Americans  some of the outlines in our topic is do the treaty affect the rights of Americans. like do the U.N have power over which can determine the outcome of how Americans live. will the treaty be cause a lot of problems for Americans which will effect the current way of life. The 2nd Amendment will it protect us from certain laws which can affect the total outcome of the treaty. if us sign the treaty can the treat be manipulated once it is signed.
