Filter Bubble

A filter bubble is used by many websites that we use on a daily base. Google, EBay, Yahoo this is just a few big time named that a majority of us use for research. A filter bubble is also a website's way of providing the user's preferences or similar things that you looked up before to assist them with future searches. As for example you look up a Camaro on EBay at the bottom of the page EBay will suggest to you items that will go along with Camaros. Some of the draw backs that I believe is in place with filter bubbles is how everybody don’t need extra suggestions when they are purchasing items because some people have shopping problems and if you show the shopper things related to their search that they believe is important than they will be forced to by it by their mind because of their addiction. It can also be bad for academic research because its just suggestions and it might not be credible for the type of research that the person needs for the certain assignment. One of the ways that the filter bubble have been present in my life was based off of Facebook when I searched for people who lived in stone mountain then it gave me a specific search from the people who lived in stone mountain and went to my high school.

Plagarism

There are many types of plagiarism in the world or what can be considered plagiarism.  The most common form of plagiarism is to steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as your own. The second form of plagiarism is to use another's production without crediting the source. You must cite the source even if you use one word from a website book or anything that did not come from your head, but it can also be flaws in coming up with stuff from you head which can also be a form of plagiarism which is to present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source. The expression of original ideas is considered intellectual property, and is protected by copyright laws, just like original inventions. Almost all forms of expression fall under copyright protection as long as they are recorded in some way (such as a book or a computer file). Here is a quick list to remind you of simple plagiarism to stay away from turning in someone else's work as your own, copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit, failing to put a quotation in quotation marks, giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation, and changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit

Rhetorical Device

Today I watched the Presidential election and both of the candidates Mitt Romney, and President Obama both exhibited Rhetorical Devices in their debates. The debate showed more than one rhetorical device, but the first one that I will talk about will be how Barack Obama used Appeals to emotion he argued in his debate that Mitt Romney would be taking the future away from Americas youth by taking away financial aid and the Federal Pell Grant which would affect a majority of college kids today. He went on to say how if he took it away we would not be able to accomplish many of the goals that we would be able to do if we went to college. This put in prospective to many Americans that voting for Mitt Romney would be the wrong choice. Mitt Romney would the back up the argument against Barack Obama with the Rhetorical Device Appeal to Authority he used this to show off his statistics while he was governor and tried to relate the current debate with what he did as governor of his one state so he tried to use his former glory days to appeal to the viewers with his old power to say he did it then and he can do it now

argument.

Will the UN Treaty on small arms go against the second Amendment, and affect the safety of Americans in the long run, with the mass number of unregistered weapons in the United Stated? My argument will first talk about the second amendments and how any law abiding citizen has a right to bear arms to protect them from enemies both foreign and domestic. With the treaty on small arms the UN will be violating the constitution at which our four fathers had created for our country hundreds of years ago and it was set in stone so how can we let the UN abuse their power in our country. With the Second Amendment getting abused by the treaty how will American protect themselves against people who don’t have good intentions toward their families. The UN Treaty is the collection of all registered weapons in the United States which mean no more hunting going to the gun range, and no more weapons to protect people homes. The main problem in this situation is how there are millions of unregistered guns in the United States. The people with the unregistered weapons will be in total power against the people who had to turn their guns in, and these three things will be my main arguments for my topic

Galieo over Databases

I Chose the Discipline of Business administration for a high end car dealership. I have always been interested in this, but I never knew how to look it up in a database. I looked it up under the Galileo On the discovery tool this was new for me because I never looked up anything in a database. When I typed in my keywords which was CAR, DEALER, HIGH END  LUXURY, BUSINESS  ECONOMICS, and there was more than two hundred thousand results that came up when I pressed the search button. I think the results I got was very close to what I was looking for but as I clicked through the pages the results started to stray off topic so only the first two pages was really accurate for my topic. When I searched in the discovery tool you get more results and many more databases than if I looked for a specific thing in a specific database. I believe that I would use the Discovery tool when I really don’t have much information on a topic but I would like to find out as much information that I can about it. I would use a specific database when I have a lot of keywords and I know exactly what I am looking for

Scholarly Article: Blocher, Joseph. "The Right Not To Keep Or Bear Arms.

The Second Amendment is spoken many times in this Blocher Joseph journal. The article is a scholarly journal which have been looked over by his peers and his colleagues for accuracy and to make sure it not a bias article. This Article asks whether the Second Amendment should likewise be read to incorporate both the right to keep or bear arms for self-defense and the inverse right to protect oneself by avoiding arms, and what practical implications they would have for both sides of the argument. The article also talks about the “Core” and "Central Component" of the Second Amendment which is self-defense which is mostly exerted in the home. I would use this article to argue my topic in the matter of how we have been bearing arms to protect our homes and families since the Second Amendment was signed on the Constitution, and we cant take it away because it would leave a lot of people unsafe in the world.

An Unsteady Finger on Gun Control Laws.
The popular magazine that I decides to go with was by Persky, Anna Stolle. The article reports that handgun control laws in the U.S. are being challenged throughout the country based on the Second Amendment that protects the right of an individual to possess a firearm for private use inside the home. Jonathan E. Lowy, director of the legal action project at the Washington D.C.-based Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, said there have been at least 20 challenges to several state and federal gun laws.
I will use this popular magazine to before my scholarly article to get people to se the popularity of my topic, and how it is a very important part of our lives. Then I would use my scholarly article to back up the information in the magazine.
